The Engine Manufacturer Thornycroft created
by John Issac Thornycroft in 1859 was taken over
by British Leyland in 1962 to become one the "marine"
branch of the English engine manufacturer, then sold
to different societies until becoming in 1995 a
privately held nouveu under the name Thornycroft,
continuing to manufacture marine engines up to
today. All these engines are marinated in
Great Britain using excellent quality engine base
for uses from various manufacturers including Kubota,
AEC, BMC, Ford, Cummins and Hino. These engines are
suitable for a wide variety of use such as Yachts,
pleasure boats, work barges, barges, sailboats and
fishing boats. Thornycroft has a global sales network
and spare parts distributors.
